We offer a variety of advanced materials selected for their optical clarity, durability, and transmission across spectral bands:

• Sapphire (Al₂O₃):
  • Exceptional hardness and scratch resistance
  • High transmission from UV to mid-IR
  • Ideal for high-pressure and high-speed applications
• Zinc Sulfide (ZnS & Cleartran®):
  • Broad transmission from visible to LWIR
  • Excellent for thermal imaging systems
  • Milder in cost vs. sapphire for IR systems
• Other Materials Available:
  • Fused silica, BK7, Germanium, Silicon, Spinel
  • Selection guided by application and spectral range

Precision Capabilities

Our domes are manufactured to exacting standards, ensuring high optical performance and mechanical reliability:

• Diameter Range: Up to 250 mm (custom sizes available)
• Wall Thickness Tolerance: ±0.1 mm or better
• Sphericity: λ/4 or better at 632.8 nm
• Surface Quality: 40-20 or better (MIL-PRF-13830B)
• Coating Options: Anti-reflection (AR), hard carbon, customized for VIS/IR bands
